Getting there

From Paris (by train):

Services from Gare de l'Est station, Paris, leave approximately every 2 hours. The journey time is 1 hr 20 minutes. French Railways fare system is based on day and time of travel and is colour-coded accordingly: blue (off-peak); white (standard) and red (peak). From Paris (hitch-hiking):

Allô Stop, the national and international ride-share organisation, can find you a lift for a fixed fee and shared petrol expenses. Reims is a 90-minute drive from Paris.

From UK (by car):
Reims is 2 1/2 hours drive Calais, making it directly accessible from the Channel Tunnel and ferries. Take A26 Calais - Reims autoroute (motorway). Remember cash or a credit card for the péage (toll).

The channel tunnel runs between Folkestone, Kent (with easy access to M20) and Calais. Journey time is 35 minutes and services run every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. For more information:

From London (by train):
Eurostar operates a high-speed rail link between Waterloo International, London and Gare du Nord, Paris. Journey time is approx. 2 and 1/2 hours.

From London (by coach):
Eurolines operate a twice-weekly direct coach and ferry service from Victoria Coach Station in London. The journey is overnight and takes approximately 9 hours. Coaches arrive at Boulevard de Roederer, just outside Reims railway station. Cheapest means of travel.

International (by plane):
Shop around for the best air fares to and from Paris. Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, also called Roissy, lies North East of the city. Paris-Orly (ORY) airport, lies South of the city. Both are linked to the city centre by the fast RER suburban rail link.

A navette, a shared taxi minibus, bookable in advance, can pick up you and your belongings from Paris airports and take you direct to Reims. The price varies according to the number of fellow passengers.

There is also a local airport "Reims Champagne" which is 7 km. North of the town.
